## Enabling Child Account Fields in Wizards

To accurately define the child account (HCP location) relationship, users can enter information into required Child Account fields directly from the Parent Account Wizard and New Object Type Wizard.

When a user creates an account for an HCP and selects an HCO as the parent account, they can enter the company-required information, for example specialty\_\_v and role\_\_v, for the HCP in the Child Account information section.

### Configuring Child Account Fields in Wizards for

To configure this feature:

1. Ensure [Configuring Accounts](../AcctConfig.htm) is complete.
2. Navigate to **Admin > Configuration > Objects > child\_account\_\_v**.
3. Set fields on the **child\_account\_\_v** object as required.
4. Navigate to **Business Admin > Objects > Veeva Settings**.
5. Select the **enable\_child\_account\_in\_wizards\_\_v** Veeva Setting checkbox.

   When the enable\_child\_account\_in\_wizards\_\_v Veeva Setting is used, only child account fields marked as required display.
6. Enter the appropriate account object type in the **ENABLE\_PARENT\_WIZARD\_OPT\_ACCT\_TYPES** Veeva Setting. This displays the Create from Existing Parent Account checkbox. See [Parent Account Wizard](../AcctWizards/Parent_Account_Wizard.htm) for additional information.

When users select the Create from existing parent account toggle button, the Child Account section displays between the Address and License Information sections, enabling users to enter child account information when creating an account.

The fields included in the section are based on the following parameters:

Required fields based on the data model

Required fields based on the layout for the Account/Security Profile

Fields with a record in dcr\_field\_type\_\_v object where the field API name is either:

dcr\_required\_\_v

dcr\_editable\_required\_\_v
